OnTrack was founded to solve a critical blind spot in modern digital health: mainstream apps were built exclusively around Western food databases, forcing billions of people to choose between their culture and their health.
FOUNDER'S JOURNEY
Created by Dominic Kobina Aidoo
Dominic Kobina Aidoo created OnTrack after seeing family members and friends with Type 2 diabetes struggle with existing health apps. When logging traditional African and Caribbean meals like Kenkey, Jollof Rice, or Fufu, existing software returned error messages or forced users to enter generic approximations like "white bread" or "mashed potatoes".
Determined to build a solution that empowers people in Sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, the Caribbean, and global diaspora communities, Dominic launched OnTrack — an AI app that treats cultural dishes with the clinical accuracy they deserve.
